So my girl is a little actress and a damned fine singer too. This morning, I managed to catch her in a rare "Twinkle" moment. So, without further ado:

Sunny Days and Popsicles
So today is Tuesday and it's crazy. The sweet little one has been running around the house yelling "My potsittle BROKE!!" Rewind to an hour ago. It's hot today. Very hot. And my girl was begging for a popsicle. I wandered to the freezer, took out the LAST blue one, unwrapped it, sat her in her high chair and said "Here you go honey! You got the last one!" Her face glowed, her eyes lit up, and she said "It's MINE Gimme it NOW!" Then as an afterthought I heard "Thank you Mama!"
Within minutes the dear child was covered in blue. She looked like a smurf and she had broken the popsicle to bits and was howling for another blue "potsittle!" Try as I might, I just couldn't get her to understand that she had demolished the previous one and there just weren't anymore. *sigh*
So I took her out to the back yard, where she has her little blow up swimming pool. It has an elephant sprinkler and is very cute. Unfortunately one of the elephant is looking a little... deflated. It's big blue trunk is leaning to one side and the water is barely a trickle now. She slid down the slide, splashed and played. I re-loaded her lily white skin with sunscreen. (SPF 60+)
Her baby doll went down the slide too. If any of you readers out there have Graco Smart Baby, you know it says such things as "Let's go shopping!" "Play with me Mommy!" and my favorite "Uh oh.. I think I'm stinky!" Now the baby doesn't say a whole lot. It's makes a weird whining sound and says "Let's yaul;hgoroooooooooo". The girl is just devastated. The baby is drying in the sun, and I've managed to find just one more blue popsicle in the bottom of the box.
I hope it rains tomorrow.
